About the role
ROLE OVERVIEW

The Content Manager is responsible for the strategic execution and optimisation of high-quality written content that strengthens SPASA’s brand presence and supports the growth and alignment of its house of brands.

The Content Manager will lead the development of website content and support website projects and digital content rollouts, working cross-functionally to ensure content is effectively delivered, maintained and optimised across SPASA’s digital ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and creative communicator with strong project management and digital expertise. They bring a deep understanding of content strategy, audience engagement and multi-channel delivery, and are passionate about the pool, spa and outdoor living industries.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

1. Content Strategy & Editorial Leadership

Implement SPASA’s content strategy across all websites.

Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, organisational objectives and audience needs.

Create high-quality content written including: magazine articles, blogs, news, scripts, and advocacy communications.

Maintain and elevate editorial standards, tone of voice and storytelling quality.

Ensure accuracy through strong fact-checking, industry research and stakeholder consultation.

2. Website & Digital Content Project Management

Support new website content projects, including new site builds, updates, migrations and ongoing optimisation.

Manage the rollout of digital content across channels (websites, landing pages, etc).

Work with internal teams and external agencies (developers, designers) to deliver digital projects on time and to brief.

Monitor website performance and engagement, using insights to inform content improvements.

Ensure SEO best practices are embedded across all digital content.

3. Digital, Campaign & Channel Management

Lead the development of SEO-optimised content to drive traffic, engagement and conversions.

Support EDM campaigns, event promotions and membership communications with content input.

Repurpose long-form and print content into high-performing digital formats.

Identify opportunities to expand reach and improve content performance across platforms.

4. Stakeholder & Brand Alignment

Partner with internal teams (Membership, , Events, Advocacy, Publications, Partnerships, IRLearning) to align content with business priorities.

Ensure content supports partner obligations, sponsorship deliverables and campaign objectives.

5. Workflow Management

Manage content workflows, timelines and publishing schedules across platforms.

Coordinate approvals, version control and publishing processes.

Ensure efficient project delivery across concurrent campaigns and deadlines.

Other duties as directed.

REQUIRED SKILLS OR ABILITIES

Proven experience in a Content Manager, Editorial or Digital Content role.

Strong background in content strategy, editorial planning and multi-channel content delivery.

Demonstrated experience managing website content projects or digital platforms (CMS).

Excellent written, editing and storytelling skills.

Strong understanding of SEO, UX and digital content best practices.

Ability to translate complex or technical information into engaging, accessible content.

Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners/agencies.

Strong project management, organisational and time-management skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.

High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Experience in membership organisations, lifestyle or trade industries (desirable).

Availability to travel for events, interviews or meetings when required.

Current driver’s licence (desirable)
