ob Description: Cafe Team Member
Position Overview: As a Cafe Team Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience in our cafe. Your primary responsibilities will include providing friendly and efficient service to customers, preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the cafe. You will work closely with other team members to uphold our cafe's reputation for quality and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, using our POS (Point of Sale) system.
Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, according to cafe recipes and standards.
Prepare and serve food items, including sandwiches, pastries, and snacks.
Ensure food and beverages are served promptly and meet quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the cafe, including seating areas, serving counters, and restrooms.
Follow health and safety guidelines and adhere to sanitation procedures at all times.
Restock items as needed throughout the shift and notify management of any inventory shortages or equipment issues.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and a positive work environment.
Assist with other tasks or projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, or customer service role is preferred but not required.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and service.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
Willingness to learn and follow cafe policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
Ability to work in a confined space and tolerate exposure to various temperatures.
