What's on offer?

Based at Tullamarine Airport and working closely with the Commercial Manager whilst reporting to the Project Manager, as Contracts Administrator you will provide advice and support on commercial issues across multiple projects and provide an impact at an organisational level. Role responsibilities will include:
Administer and monitor subcontracts, ensuring all contractual records, documents, correspondence, WorkCover and insurances are accurately maintained and compliant with company policies and subcontract requirements
Support downstream tendering by preparing and managing the tender procurement register, issuing subcontractor tender packages, tracking returns, and liaising with engineers and commercial support on technical and commercial clarifications
Manage subcontract procurement processes, including creating and updating procurement registers, preparing tender recommendation forms and price comparisons, drafting framework agreements and work orders, and coordinating approvals in line with Delegation and Limits of Authority (DLOA).
Set up and maintain subcontract records in Salesforce, including uploading and monitoring insurance and HSEQ documentation, and assisting engineers with securities (bank guarantees) and statutory declarations for subcontractors.
Facilitate the payment process for subcontracts by ensuring agreed rates (including variation rates) are provided to Accounts, managing the statutory declaration register, and ensuring payment certificates/progress claim assessments are issued to subcontractors within required timeframes.
How will you connect to the role?
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as quantity surveying, engineering, construction / project management or commercial law (beneficial, not mandatory)
Circa 18 months - 3 years of prior experience working as a Contract Administrator within a construction environment.
Ability to work autonomously while administering and managing multiple projects and subcontract packages;
Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including an ability to confidently liaise and negotiate with external stakeholders.
This is an ongoing, permanent role working within our Melbourne Airport Projects team and is available for an immediate commencement.
