The Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This position requires a strong background in accounting practices, financial analysis, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various accounting software and possess excellent analytical skills.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and account reconciliation.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports to provide insights into business performance.
Oversee budgeting processes and ensure adherence to financial plans.
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits.
Maintain accurate records using accounting software such as PBS, Clarity and Excel.
Develop and implement financial controls to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation is preferred.
Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar role within the finance sector.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) is essential.
Experience with budgeting, account analysis, payroll processing, and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Exceptional communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
