MedHealth Financial is an expanding Anesthesia Billing company for the past 6 years with over 100 employees, located in Woodbridge, New Jersey. We provide complete coding, billing, and revenue management services to anesthesiology practices. Direct experience working for a medical billing company, RCM service provider, or a large healthcare practice with internal billing would be a plus but is not required.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller. This role is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and audit readiness. This will be a hybrid position with the majority of time spent in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and direct all accounting and financial functions, (including GL, AR, AP, payroll, and bank reconciliations)
Review and negotiation of vendor and client contracts Analyze financial data and present findings and recommendations to support executive decision-making
Supervise the revenue cycle accounting process
Coordinate month-end and year-end closings, and produce timely and accurate financial statements
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across departments
Manage internal controls and ensure SOX
Oversee tax preparation and liaise with external accountants for tax and audit support
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements
Minimum 5 years accounting experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, financial systems and ERP/accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage)
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
High level of integrity and attention to detail
Strong communication and time management
