A-V Services Inc., a leading employee-owned Audio Video company with multiple fortune 100 contracts within the financial, pharmaceutical and computing industries, seeks a Controller/Accountant. We seek candidates who have the ability and desire to self-direct; those who are competent and confident; and with an approachable demeanor and take a roll up sleeve attitude when needed. We require that candidates be highly analytical with extreme accuracy.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Must have mid-sized business experience in a growing company.
Oversee and ensure accurate and timely performance of all accounting functions: accounts payable/receivables, expenses, including multi-jurisdiction payroll utilizing UKG Platform. Employee benefits, 401k, ESOP experience a plus.
Annual budget and quarterly forecasting
Reconciliation of all accounts
The ability to master internal reporting systems.
Ensure corporate multi-jurisdiction sales tax compliance and preparation.
Establishment of internal controls and best practices
Monitor and collect data to assess accuracy and integrity; analyze data; ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e., GAAP), rules and regulations.
Participation in special projects to facilitate financial needs.
Quarterly and yearly closings
Knowledge of Solutions Q360 is a plus.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in accounting or finance.
At least four years of progressive, hands-on, proven experience.
Must be comfortable communicating at various levels of the organization/ESOP, 401k, Employee Benefits, Property & Casualty Ins, Bonding, OCIP, Prevailing Wage.
Proficiency of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
