Job Title: Cook
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cook to join our team at Toro's Pizza Pty Ltd, a fast-paced restaurant located in the beautiful suburbs of Palm Beach, Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook food in accordance with menu and in-house recipes.
Read and cook food pursuant to instructions.
Ensure the proper seasoning of foods according to cooking standards.
Proper plating and garnishing prior to service.
Examine quality of raw and cooked foods on a daily basis.
Oversee food preparation to accommodate special dietary needs.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is functioning properly and notify the Head Chef of any faulty equipment.
Assist with menu preparation and alteration.
Store foods in accordance with safe food-handling practices.
Train and mentor kitchen staff and apprentices, when required.
Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
A minimum Certificate Level IV qualification in Cookery or otherwise related qualification.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a fast-paced restaurant is mandatory.
Proficiency in various cooking methods, including baking, grilling, and sautéing.
Capable of working effectively under pressure.
Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
Ability to address and resolve issues arising during service.
An understanding of customer satisfaction and ability to accommodate customer requests.
Salary Package:
$73,500.00 - $75,000.00 per annum plus superannuation.
