Job Description

Twist & Tonic Bar operates in Mairangi Bay offering a food and beverage service to local customers and visitors. The business requires a Cook to prepare and present food items consistently, support kitchen operations, and maintain food quality and hygiene standards. Also requires Food and Beverage Attendants to provide customer service, take orders, and serve food and drinks to customers.

Position Title: Cook
Number of Positions: 1
Location: Mairangi Bay, Auckland, New Zealand
Pay Rate: $27 – $31 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

Key Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience OR Level 4 qualification
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Ensure food quality, portion control, and consistency at all times.
Assist with food preparation, stock handling, and kitchen set‑up.
Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment.
Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
Coordinate with Food and Beverage Attendant staffs to ensure timely service.
Minimise food wastage and follow storage and rotation procedures.
Support menu changes and daily specials as required.

Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
Take food and beverage orders and deliver items to tables promptly.
Serve food and drinks in accordance with service standards.
Maintain cleanliness of dining, bar, and service areas.
Handle payments and operate POS systems accurately.
Respond to customer enquiries and resolve minor issues.
Follow health & safety and host responsibility guidelines.
Assist with table set‑up, clearing, and resetting during service.
Support bar and kitchen teams during busy periods.
Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
