Job Duties
Develop and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of the assigned business area.
Assess the needs of copack projects, manage the project to fit within the established time frame.
Quote projects for current and prospective clients and report any major changes to projects that result in budget or schedule variances.
With the assistance of the Senior Management team, develop and recommend an annual operating budget and business plans to support strategic goals and objectives.
Analyze and review financial, labour, operational, administrative, and other reports, and plans on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
Plan long-range labour requirements based on sales forecasts and input from direct reports.
Strive for continuous improvements in all facets of warehouse operations in support of Operational Excellence initiatives.
Ensure warehouse management system’s procedures are adhered to and the WMS is functioning optimally.
Comply with all ESA and OHSA regulations to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment, and property.
Maintain and enforce the standard practices related to food safety and food defense policies along with GDP’s and GHP standards.
Conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, and equipment.
Ensure all Material Handling Equipment is in good working order and all preventive maintenance is done.
Ensure cleanliness of production area and scheduled maintenance is performed in a timely manner.
Supporting all direct reports, ensuring they have adequate training, assisting with issues and serving as a point of escalation.
Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of reports regarding Copack operations.
Prepare, maintain, and communicate all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and ensure they are adhered to.
Ensure exceptional customer service and solid customer relationships by achieving KPI's and implementing processes to deliver quality solutions.
Provide leadership and direction through coaching, mentoring, and developing direct reports; establish annual performance objectives, conduct performance assessments, and identify opportunities for skill development.
Lead a high-performance culture, mentoring, succession planning and developing.
Collaborate with HR to ensure staff levels are correct, interview and approve new hires.
Performs other duties as required.
Education/Qualifications
College diploma or University degree in a related field.
5+ years of production experience
5+ specific experience in a leadership role
Key Competencies
Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management system, and transportation management
Direct knowledge of WHMIS, ESA and OHSA legislation
Experience with radio frequency systems
Strong knowledge of, MS Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong knowledge of warehouse documentation, with good writing skills
Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions.
Solid project management skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good financial and business acumen
Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization, its executive team, and customers.
A proven track record of mentoring and developing direct reports and subordinates.

Physical Demands
Must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time while in the warehouse.

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
