About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join the Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit (ASRU) in a full-time, permanent Core Clinician role.
Based in Papatoetoe, this is a stimulating opportunity to work within a regional specialist spinal rehabilitation service. You will manage a clinical caseload within an interdisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, person- and whānau-centred care to people with spinal cord injury and complex neurological conditions.
In this role, you will:
Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention within a neurological rehabilitation setting
Work collaboratively with clients, whānau, interdisciplinary team members, and external agencies
Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within spinal rehabilitation
Support discharge planning and transitions across services and districts
Participate in a supportive, skilled, and enthusiastic interdisciplinary team environment
This role offers excellent opportunities to further develop your expertise in neurological and spinal rehabilitation.
About You
Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
A minimum of 2 years post-registration clinical experience, preferably in neurological rehabilitation
Sound clinical reasoning skills and a commitment to evidence-informed practice
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a client and whānau-centred approach
A full drivers licence
