About the role:
Our Public Medical Device client is looking for an experienced Corporate Accounting Manager to join their team. This role will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight over Corporate GL Accounting. Their ideal candidate is a detail oriented, self-starter who has experience in Public Accounting and an active CPA.

Responsibilities:
• Serve as the lead member of the corporate accounting team in the performance of research, the determination of financial reporting and disclosure impact, ensuring timely adoption of new accounting standards, and preparation of technical accounting memos.
• Collaborate with functional leadership to proactively explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations, and lead the development of complex analysis to drive business decision making.
• Ensure accounting processes comply with best practice financial reporting i.e., design, implementation and maintenance of effective accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
• Work directly with the Company to lead technical accounting research, analysis, and documentation on current and proposed transactions in relation to mergers.
• Provide assistance with the Company’s financial reporting process, including drafting of footnote disclosures for technical accounting areas.
• Support the annual audit and quarterly review activities with external auditors as well as testing by internal and external auditors on internal controls.
• Contributes to merger and acquisition activities, including due-diligence, third-party valuations, and purchase price accounting.
• Provide perspectives and conclusions under US GAAP, IFRS and regulatory accounting principles on queries from internal and external auditors.
• Assists in maintaining and improving SOX compliance as it relates to technical accounting processes.
• Support the development of management presentations and supporting schedules, including business reviews, strategic plans, and other leadership presentations and annual plans as needed.
• Proactively resolve issues and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Support ad hoc analysis and support on special projects, as required.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent directly related work experience.
• CPA required.
• Public Accounting experience required.
• ERP Experience such as NetSuite, MS Dynamics 365, Sage 300, Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, Workday, MS Business Central, JD Edwards, MS Dynamics GP or Intacct all deemed good.
