Job Description
Assist in managing litigation and disputes.
Manage internal compliance projects to reduce legal risk.
Draft and update Company policies as needed.
Draft, revise, negotiate, and counsel on a variety of contracts for all business departments.
Consult with management, internal business clients and accountants on legal issues.
Conduct legal research regarding jurisdictional tax/rental laws and legal compliance standards as needed.
Assist on public company matters, including SEC compliance and corporate governance.
Work collaboratively and professionally with all members of the company and third parties.
Adhere to and support standards and goals of the legal department.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications
0-3 years of relevant attorney experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
Active license to practice law in Colorado or the equivalent in Edmonton, Alberta depending on work location.
Experience supporting a publicly traded company is a plus but not required.
Foundational knowledge of employment law and related matters.
Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts, including those related to real estate.
Strong business acumen and the ability to align legal advice with strategic operational objectives.
Proven ability to identify issues, think critically, and solve problems independently and collaboratively.
Exceptional attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional email and document drafting.
Ability to distill complex legal or business concepts into clear, well-structured presentations and written summaries.
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset and a client-service orientation.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and evolving needs.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with contract management platforms (e.g., Salesforce, DocuSign, etc.).
Compensation: $+0,000 - $115,000 CAD Base Salary
We believe in building a compensation structure that reflects the comparable market pay rate for positions at companies similar in size, revenue generation and geographic location; in addition to individual factors including seniority, performance-based merit, education/training, and experience related to scope of responsibilities.
Bonus: Eligible for the company’s bonus plan.
Paid Time Off: Accrues each pay period, totaling 15 days annually, plus nine paid holidays.
FAM Trip: After one year of employment, eligible for one three-to-four-night stay per calendar year in an Inspirato property, subject to availability and program terms.
