Job description, work day and responsibilities
The Lawyer will be responsible for providing legal advice, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, drafting and reviewing contracts, and representing the company in legal and regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities :
• Legal Advisory & Compliance
• o Provide legal advice to management and business teams on corporate, commercial, employment, real estate, and contractual matters.o Ensure compliance with applicable corporate laws, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Contracts & Documentation
o Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, vendor agreements, joint ventures, NDAs, MOUs, and other business agreements.
o Maintain legal documentation and ensure enforceability.o Manage litigation, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings (liaising with external counsel where required)
.o Prepare legal notices, responses, and settlement agreements
o Support board meetings, shareholder resolutions, and statutory compliance in coordination with Company Secretary.
o Advise on risk exposure, liability, and governance frameworks.
o Advise on international contracts, foreign investment, and compliance with applicable cross-border laws.

• Corporate Governance
• Cross-Border Matters
• Ensure compliance with Indian Contract Act, Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI, IPR laws, IT Act, Arbitration Act, and Labour Laws.
• Represent the company before High Courts, NCLT, Labour Courts, Consumer Forums, Tribunals (with external counsel).
• File and defend cases in relation to employment disputes, tax matters, regulatory approvals, and commercial litigation.
• Manage compliance with data protection, e-commerce, and technology laws (if applicable).
• Liaise with external advocates for litigation in local courts (since only UAE-licensed advocates can represent in court).
• Education: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent; Master's in Law (LLM) preferred.
• Professional Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law in respective jurisdictions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and litigation management skills.
• Ability to handle multi-jurisdictional compliance and cross-border contracts.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• India: 5 years in corporate/commercial law practice or in-house counsel role.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹50, ₹70,000.00 per month
