Requisites
• Must have a strong Cost systems background and excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles with attention to detail
• Computer Literate – Strong Microsoft Office Skills (MS Excel in particular & familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
• Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with accounting software
• Self- motivated and able to multi- task
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
• Strong Financial & general ledger accounting knowledge
• Interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
Job Description
• Responsible for performing cost analyses and preparing budget reports- Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity
• Prepare monthly and quarterly accounting reports for submission to management
• Making estimates of new and proposed service costs
• Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of services.
• Maintaining Cost Accounting System
• Assisting in month end close of the General Ledger
• Conduct inventory reserve analysis on a quarterly basis and generate reports for senior management
• Assist the Staff Accountant with suggesting changes to policies or procedures to increase cash flow
• Generate PPV reports and analyse findings
• Establish standard costs and update them as appropriate
• Maintain and review the general ledger and reconcile balance sheets Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions
