Our client, a growing and reputable manufacturing firm, is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join its growing team.

Responsibilities
• Implementing cost accounting procedures and methods consistent with corporate guidelines and objectives.
• Conducting regular audits to ensure all costs and inventory are accurately reported.
• Analyzing manufacturing costs and preparing regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Making estimates of new and proposed product costs.
• Providing management with reports that specify and compare factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
• Assisting in month-end close of the general ledger.
• Conducting physical inventories and monitoring the cycle count program.
• Reviewing rates of depreciation, labor, and overhead and suggesting policy changes to improve numbers.
• Working closely with the production team to understand and manage factory overhead.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of new systems and procedures as needed.
Job Details
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance highly preferred.
• 1+ years Cost Accounting experience in the manufacturing or construction industry.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively solve problems.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory standards.
