JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for day-to-day planning, implementing, managing, and controlling of all financial related activity. This position directs and maintains the accounting and financial integrity of the organization through various processes including the production of accurate & timely financial reports, maintaining review of accounting records, forecasting financial results, communicating key performance metrics to operations, and proper maintenance of accounting systems and functions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• *Prepare monthly and weekly reports of results, monthly forecasts, annual operating plan, and strategic planning.
• *Manage and analyze capital expenditure projects and forecast budget needs.
• *Lead plant cost savings initiatives and ensure budgeted results are obtained.
• *Research and reconcile General Ledger accounts.
• *Responsible for internal controls for operations and finance.
• *Close and report financial period each month.
• *Guide and direct accounts payable, non-inventory purchasing, cycle counts, labor and production reporting, and day-to-day functions of the department.
• *Prepare information for annual audits.
• *Ensure bill of material and costing accurately reflect production operations.
• *Track labor productivity and cost, material costs, manufacturing overhead, distribution cost, returns and inventory levels.
• *Assure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Policies (GAAP).
• Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or management.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
• Requires Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related discipline. MBA and/or CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of Accounting or related experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in ERP systems and a firm command of GAAP.
• Must be proficient at an expert level in Microsoft Office including, but not limited to, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
