Position Summary
Reporting to the Division Controller, this role is primarily accountable for the financial performance of the global (and regional) Gas Turbine Aftermarket business. In maintaining key operational and financial metrics expected of a Parker division, the financial analyst analyses every day financial activities and subsequently provides advice and guidance to all functions of a global division. The goal is to enable the division leaders and operational management to make sound business decisions and meet objectives through increasing productivity and offering greater insights into the division.

Your day-to-day / What we are expecting from you / Your responsibilities
• Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of month end financial closings, accruals and reports while maintaining compliance
• Prepare and analyse accurate monthly financial and management reports including, income statement, balance sheet, variance to budget and forecast, and cash flow
• Provide and interpret financial information to stakeholders that highlight an explain significant deviations from plan and forecast
• Provide useful financial insights to help make better decisions about formulating and executing strategy, and provide guidance and analyses to division management and operational management to improve results
• Assist with key strategic planning functions such as Sales, COGS, SG&A, Capital Expenditure and Headcount planning
• Provide financial leadership for the US and UK manufacturing locations, including physical inventory counts, standard costing, and absorption improvements
Who We Are Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field
• Experienced with reporting tools from pivot tables to enterprise level tools such as Cognos, Webfocus, Power BI, or Oracle BI
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, commercial processes, finance, information systems, and general business practices
• Possess keen understanding of financial statements, cash management, financial planning and analysis.
• Knowledge of moderately complex system design, analysis principles, and general business operations.
• Able to view the Division holistically, not just from a Finance perspective. Solid understanding and experience of global operating practices.
• General knowledge of and ability to apply continuous improvement techniques to information technology and related areas.
