Manager / Senior Manager – Cost Accountant
Location: Mumbai
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to drive cost efficiency, strengthen financial controls, and partner with manufacturing & supply chain teams. This role will play a critical part in optimizing product costing, improving margins, and enabling data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end product costing, including BOM validation, standard costing, and variance analysis
• Drive cost optimization initiatives across manufacturing, procurement, and logistics
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs and highlight key cost drivers
• Partner with plant and supply chain teams to improve operational efficiency and margins
• Lead inventory valuation, provisioning, and reconciliation processes
• Monitor and control cost variances vs. budget/standard costs
• Support monthly MIS, budgeting, and forecasting from a cost perspective
• Strengthen cost control frameworks and internal processes
• Work closely with finance leadership on strategic cost initiatives
