Role Overview

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of students' learning during teacher absences. You will be responsible for supervising classes, ensuring students remain engaged and on task, and managing classroom behavior in line with school policies. This Cover Supervisor position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in education, possibly aspiring to a future teaching career.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers as a Cover Supervisor
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students complete the assigned work as a Cover Supervisor
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment as a Cover Supervisor
• Support students' learning and respond to their needs in your role as a Cover Supervisor
• Provide feedback to the relevant teachers on student progress and behavior, as part of your Cover Supervisor duties
• Assist with other administrative duties as required of a Cover Supervisor

Candidate Requirements
• Previous experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting, and ideally in a Cover Supervisor capacity
• Strong classroom management skills, essential for a Cover Supervisor
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, crucial for a Cover Supervisor
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different classroom environments as a Cover Supervisor
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, a key responsibility of a Cover Supervisor
• A degree or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential for a Cover Supervisor role
