About the Role
The Senior Fashion Designer will be responsible for overseeing the development of samples based on market research, working closely with directors to ensure timely completion of projects, and representing SMR India in external meetings, including trade fairs and exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities
• Presenting market trend research to directors and stakeholders
• Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and partners
• Coordinating with production teams to ensure smooth sample-to-production transitions
• Representing SMR India in external meetings and events
Requirements and Qualifications
• A degree in Fashion Design from a recognized institute in India
• Over 5-6 years of experience working with garment manufacturers or retailers
• Extensive knowledge of women's westernwear and contemporary Indian wear trends
• Familiarity with various embroidery techniques and fabric types (knits and woven)
• Excellent creativity, design skills, and attention to detail
• Strong communication, organizational, and team collaboration skills
