Learn more at Role : Research Analyst Type : Contract Duration : 6 Months Debtwire, a global provider of financial news, research, and data specializing in fixed income has an immediate opening for an analyst on contract basis, to join our team in Mumbai. The candidate's main responsibility will be to help produce in-depth fundamental credit research on distressed companies. Another core responsibility will be to produce insights reports on debt restructuring activity in Asia. Key Responsibilities • Assist our analyst team in the production of credit research on distressed companies across Asia. • Prepare complex capital structures and organizational charts. • The candidate will be responsible for collecting information related to the appointment of financial and legal restructuring advisors across Asia. The data will be fed into Debtwire's proprietary database and will also form the basis of quarterly insights reports that will be published on our website. • The candidate will help to collect data and produce a monthly report that tracks Chinese property developers. • Other ad hoc duties. Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications • The candidate must have a strong understanding of company financial statements. • Basic understanding of debt and equity securities and how news impacts those securities. • Strong English writing skills. • The candidate must have the ability to sift through large volumes of information in order to extract relevant details. • Ability to work in a team-based environment. The candidate will need to work collaboratively with a dynamic team of journalists. • 1-3 years of prior working experience in a similar role would be ideal, although recent graduates with exceptional academic records will also be considered
