We're looking for an experience Credit Assessor to join our Team.

Who are we looking for?

You have a minimum of 2 years Residential credit assessment experience in assessing PAYG and self-employed applications
You currently hold a Delegated Lending Authority
You have experience assessing complex loans, e.g. bridging loans, commercial, trust and company loans, reading and understanding company and trust financials (not a deal breaker but you have a great attitude and willing to learn)
You have confidence talking with customers and brokers to deliver decision outcomes
You have the ability to work within policy and make recommendations for improvement
You have experience managing a pipeline of assessment applications
You have experience working in a fast paced environment
You are driven and self-motivated to exceed targets and strive for excellence
The Role

Deliver an end-to-end service for consumers, from the assessment of the original application to fulfilment stage.
Communicating with customers and brokers to workshop applications where required and provide application decision outcomes.
Assess consumer residential home loan applications within the credit risk appetite as set out by Athena and decision applications within your delegated lending authority (DLA);
Assessment of self-employed applications and applications to non-individual entities.
Manage a pipeline of applications taking the customer and broker on a seamless journey, working hand in hand with our Customer Services team, from Application through to Unconditional Approval;
Ensure all risk and compliance standards are maintained;
Support your colleagues and contribute to the performance of your Team;
Act as a leader in the company. Bring positivity, energy and flexibility to help create a great start-up culture;
Liaise with Clients in a professional manner and provide regular updates on the progress of their application from submission .
Be able to work autonomously and demonstrate attention to detail, including having strong data entry skills with a high accuracy rate.
Have the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment whilst also adding to the Athena culture – a fun, energised, dynamic start up environment.
