About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a Credit Controller to join our high-performing Finance team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end credit control process for all customers, ensuring timely collections, accurate debtor management, and strong internal and external relationships.
A key part of this role involves assessing and managing credit risk. You’ll confidently evaluate new customers to determine their risk profile and recommend appropriate credit limits and payment terms, helping safeguard Kotahi’s financial health.
You’ll be responsible for:
Invoicing & Collections: Managing outstanding debts, resolving billing disputes, and processing receipts
Customer Relationship Management: Acting as the first point of contact for payment and account queries
Reconciliation & Reporting: Performing regular debtor reconciliations and reporting on aged receivables
Managing Credit Risk: Assessing creditworthiness, setting limits, and monitoring payment behaviour
Customer Onboarding: Supporting documentation and credit checks during onboarding
Continuous Improvement: Driving process improvements and ensuring consistency in credit control practices
About You
You’re not just great with numbers, you’re a proactive problem solver who builds strong relationships and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You bring:
4+ years’ experience in end-to-end credit control and accounts receivable
Strong understanding of AR systems, processes, and reporting
Ability to manage high-volume debtor accounts and resolve discrepancies
Clear and effective communication skills
A detail-oriented mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
Knowledge of accounts receivable cycles (Diploma in Accounting or business studies preferred)
Experience in supply chain, shipping, or logistics is a bonus but not essential
