Job Description
A key member of the indirect lending department, this role is responsible for analyzing loan applications against credit criteria and bank policy to make informed credit decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
This position offers a unique four-day work schedule, allowing for a better work-life balance while still meeting business objectives. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are spent in-office, while Saturday is worked remotely. This flexible schedule requires the ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Evaluate credit applications to assess risk and make credit decisions for indirect consumer loans.
• Verify completeness and accuracy of credit applications.
• Review supporting documents to inform credit decisions (credit reports, income verification, tax returns, personal financial statements, etc.).
• Underwrite loans within established consumer lending guidelines and applicable regulations.
• Communicate credit decisions (approve, decline, or counteroffer) in compliance with established procedures and regulations.
• Interact with dealers to clarify loan decisions as necessary.
• Manage application pipeline to meet business objectives.
• Provide superior quality service to internal and external customers at all times.
