Job Title: Senior Winter Wear Jackets Designer Location: Bangalore Company: The Indian Garage Co. Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Winter Wear Jackets Designer to join our team. As a Senior Designer, you will be responsible for the entire design process, from concept development to production, ensuring high-quality and innovative designs that meet market demands. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in winter wear apparel design, with at least 10-12 years of experience in the industry. Responsibilities: 1. Lead the design process for winter wear jackets from concept development to final production. 2. Research and identify emerging trends in winter wear fashion, materials, and technologies. 3. Stay updated on industry trends, market demands, and consumer preferences to create innovative and marketable designs. 4. Collaborate with the sourcing team to select and procure high-quality fabrics, trims, and accessories for jacket production. 5. Develop sketches, tech packs, and detailed design specifications for production. 6. Oversee sample development and provide feedback to ensure that designs meet quality and fit standards. 7. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, marketing, and sales, to coordinate the timely delivery of designs and meet business objectives. 8. Work closely with manufacturers and suppliers to monitor production processes and quality control standards. +. We are looking for an individual who specializes in designing and crafting high-quality, bespoke menswear tailored to the client's exact measurements, preferences, and style.
The ideal candidate will have excellent client-facing skills, a strong understanding of bespoke tailoring methods, and the ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities:
• Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their style preferences, specific needs, and occasion requirements.
• Design Development: Create sketches and detailed designs based on client input, develop patterns and technical specifications for bespoke garments, and stay current with trends to incorporate modern yet timeless design elements.
• Fabric & Material Selection: Source and recommend high-quality fabrics, trims, and accessories suitable for bespoke menswear, maintain relationships with premium textile suppliers and mills.
• Production Oversight: Work closely with tailors, cutters, and seamstresses to ensure accurate interpretation of designs, oversee garment fittings and make necessary adjustments for flawless final products.
Key Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Fashion Design, Tailoring, or related field.
• Proven experience in bespoke menswear design or tailoring.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and pattern making.
• Excellent hand-drawing and digital sketching skills (Adobe Illustrator, CAD, etc.).
