Job Description
As a NOC Engineer at Tata Communications, you will be an integral part of the 24x7 Network Operations Center responsible for supporting the Global Media Services network worldwide. Your role will involve monitoring the performance of the global video connect network using various tools to ensure seamless operations.To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a specialization in Electronics & Communications, Computer Science, or Information Technology. While freshers are welcome to apply, candidates with 1 to 4 years of experience in the Telecommunications/transmission domain or Digital Video Broadcasting Domain will be preferred.Your responsibilities as a NOC Engineer will include monitoring Fiber network, L2 devices, Broadcast equipment, and environmental alerts for any malfunctions. In case of any issues, you will work diligently to identify the root cause and troubleshoot the problem effectively. Adhering to standard operating procedures is crucial, which may involve coordination with third-party vendors, customer contacts, or internal teams.As part of the role, you will be responsible for updating the ticketing system (Service NOW) and escalating complex issues to management or other resources for resolution. Maintaining open communication within the team and with external stakeholders to provide updates on ongoing issues and resolutions will be a key aspect of your daily tasks.Preferred skills for this role include expertise in Transmission, Networking, Cloud, and Video Broadcasting, with additional certifications such as CCNA or Cloud certifications considered as an advantage.
