Dance & Acro Teacher – No Teaching Experience Needed (But Experienced Teachers Welcome Too!)
(We’ll train & mentor you while you get paid to inspire kids - or value your experience with a higher rate!)
We’re looking for a passionate, reliable and nurturing teacher — or someone who wants to become one — to join our small, friendly team at Versatility Dance Centre in Rokeby, Tasmania.
No formal teaching experience? No problem! If you’ve danced, done acro, cheerleading, or gymnastics before and love working with kids, we’ll guide you through our teacher training program and mentor you every step of the way - while paying you to learn on the job. We’ve had some amazing teachers come through this pathway, and you could be next!
Already an experienced teacher? Fantastic! We’d love to have you bring your skills and expertise to our team - and we offer a higher pay rate to reflect your experience.
About VDC:
Versatility Dance Centre is a growing, community-focused dance and acrobatics studio. Our mission is to help kids build confidence, have fun, and develop their skills in a supportive and inclusive environment - we believe the journey matters just as much as the destination!
We offer both recreational and competitive classes, but above all we focus on creating a space where every student feels welcome and celebrated. With fully booked classes and a thriving studio community, we’re excited to bring another teacher on board to help us keep up with demand!
About the Role:
Teaching dance and acrobatics to toddlers, children and teens.
Classes include a mix of recreational and performance-focused students.
You’ll work closely with a supportive, positive team who are always happy to help each other out.
Casual hours to start, with the potential for more as we grow.
Set hours for the term - you'll know your schedule 10 weeks at a time!

A warm, patient and nurturing personality - someone who truly enjoys working with kids and helping them shine.
Reliability and consistency - our students thrive on a steady, dependable teacher.
A willingness to take feedback and grow - we value teamwork and continuous improvement.
Experience:
Teaching experience is not required — if you have a background in dance, acro, cheerleading or gymnastics and want to step into the teaching world, we’ll mentor and train you through our teacher training program (you’ll get paid while you learn!).
If you’re already an experienced teacher, even better - we’ll value your expertise and offer a higher pay rate to reflect it.
Must have a WWVP card or be willing to optain
