Job Description
As a DBA you will be managing the environment for a large scale and high availability database systems. You will perform development and day-to-day maintenance/monitoring of on-premises/on-cloud Databases.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
DB creation
User access management: user creation, roles, permissions and user access policy creation and maintnenance.
DB backup manual + automated
DB import/export job creation
Schedule based DB purging
Store procedure creation as per requirement
SSIS + SSRS configuration
Application of SQL commands as per requirement: DDL, DCL, DML, TCL, DQL
SSIS package modification using Microsoft Visual Studio
DB health monitoring, query optimization,
DB UAT for new application development
Implementation maintenance of DB mirroring, replication, log shipping, clustering always on availability groups.
Implementation and maintenance of
Creation of linked servers, DB DB connection using ODBC/relevant drivers b/w on-prem as well as on-cloud (Types: MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
Preparation and maintenance of relevant DB documents like data catalog, ER diagram etc
• Integrating on-prem MS SQL to CloudSQL using import/export wizard, CDC, Kafka/Debezium other relevant tools.
• Integrating MS Sharepoint list to CloudSQL/extracting data from Sharepoint list using Python/other tools.
• Harnessing ETL capabilities of MS SQL.
