Position Overview

The Data Analyst Apprenticeship at OpenClassrooms is an innovative earn-and-learn opportunity designed to help individuals build a solid foundation for a career in data analytics. This 12‑month competency‑based apprenticeship allows participants to engage in on‑the‑job training for four days a week while dedicating one day to completing OpenClassrooms' online data analyst training path. This unique structure not only provides practical experience but also ensures that apprentices earn an income throughout the program. Upon successful completion, participants receive a U.S. Department of Labor Certificate of Completion of a Registered Apprenticeship Program—an asset for professionals in this field. The program welcomes diverse applicants including recent high school graduates, college graduates seeking to enhance their technical skills, or experienced professionals transitioning into data analytics. The apprenticeship also focuses on providing financial aid information and guidance through institutional, federal, and state funding policies.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and package funding awards according to institutional policies and federal regulations.
• Provide advisement to apprenticeship candidates and employers regarding funding options for completing apprenticeship and training programs.
• Communicate funding policies, procedures, and deadlines to students and employers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student and employer funding records.
• Manage the collection and maintenance of Department of Labor (DOL) documents for registered apprenticeships.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies.
• Oversee the management of grant budgets by ensuring proper allocation and tracking of funds in accordance with grant requirements.
• Collaborate with Workforce Development boards to liaise between employers and manage federal grants such as the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
• Facilitate communication and partnerships to support workforce development initiatives.
• Address and resolve student and parent inquiries regarding financial aid.
• Provide guidance on financial aid appeals and special circumstances.
• Build and maintain comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders to provide insights into grant funding usage.

Required Qualifications
• Available to commit to a 2000‑hour competency‑based apprenticeship program (approximately 12 months).
• Previous experience in financial aid, admissions, student services, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of registered apprenticeship programs and federal and state funding programs is highly desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (for non‑native speakers, a TOEFL score of 80 is recommended).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience using Salesforce, Tableau, and e‑signing platforms.
• Fundamentals of computer literacy at a high‑school level.
• Basic knowledge of probability, statistics, and linear algebra (high‑school level).
• Familiarity with programming languages such as HTML, SQL, and Python.
• Ability to manipulate data using Excel and BI tools.
