We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as a Product Data & eCommerce Operations Associate. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, a basic understanding of programming logic, and experience in managing product data across eCommerce platforms like Shopify. This role is crucial in streamlining data workflows, ensuring accurate product listings, and staying competitive through ongoing market research.
Key Responsibilities:
• Data Automation & Management
• Automate and streamline repetitive tasks using Excel formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
• Clean, structure, and maintain large volumes of product, pricing, and inventory data for accuracy and consistency.
• eCommerce Product Management
• Create and manage products, variants, and collections on Shopify.
• Maintain compatibility mappings and product relationships (e.g., vehicle fitment data).
• Competitor Analysis
• Scrape and analyze competitor websites to discover new SKUs, pricing trends, and market gaps.
• Generate actionable insights from competitor data to support pricing and product strategies.
• Search & Integration Support
• Support the implementation or enhancement of advanced product search features (e.g., Algolia, Elasticsearch).
• Assist in API-related tasks and data exchange between systems as needed.
• Troubleshooting & Documentation
• Identify and resolve data inconsistencies or sync issues across platforms.
• Document processes, workflows, and best practices to support team scalability.
Requirements:
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
• Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH
• Conditional formatting, Data validation
• Basic Macros (VBA knowledge is a plus)
• Basic understanding of programming and data logic (e.g., loops, JSON, API integration)
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
• Experience managing product catalogs in Shopify or similar platforms
• Interest in or experience with automotive products and fitment data (preferred but not required)
• Bonus: Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Commercebuild, Sage, or other ERP/eCommerce integrations
Preferred Qualities:
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced digital environment
