About The Role

The Team: The S&P Global Market Intelligence (SPGMI) Pricing platform provides pricing daily. This service is supported by global sell-side desks that are active in sales and trading, promoting market liquidity and pricing transparency. The pricing data team uses its contributor-based pricing system and sophisticated parsing technology to provide a valuation to investors. SPGMI Pricing services are used by financial institutions to help with investment idea generation, mark-to-market, and risk management. In addition, the service allows clients to track the value of proprietary via its easy-to-use, secure website or direct feeds to clients’ internal systems.
The Impact: The successful candidate will play a key part in creating and maintaining automation tasks for contribution management team. Candidate will work closely with other functions and understanding products that have upstream and downstream linkages for the flagship Fixed Income and Pricing product. On the technical aspect, the candidate will use advanced Python, Power BI, Excel, VBA, and advance SQL skills to translate operational requirements into technical solutions and tools.

Responsibilities
• Business management reporting, generating metrics and reports on the volume and quality of contribution data / composite data.
• Responsible for automation of service monitoring tasks for various S&P products such as CDS, Index pricing, Bond Pricing service etc.
• Creating intuitive dashboards which allow management to visualize large datasets related to client contributions.
• Understand visual analytics best practice, how to communicate data appropriately, how to accommodate accessibility issues etc.
• Assessing the quality of data provided and removing data sources that do not pass rigorous data quality checks.
• Will propose and help implement process improvements to realize synergies within the processes used across S&P pricing products.
What We’re Looking For
• B Tech. / MCA degree in an IT/ Computer Science or related course is a prerequisite
• At least two years of professional experience developing BI reporting / dashboards including tools such as Power BI and Python
• Good working knowledge of Python
• Substantial experience writing and debugging advance SQL queries.
• Exposure to AWS cloud services is a plus.
Soft Skills
• Proven analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills. Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with teams, senior members of the organization and clients.
• Understanding of financial markets, knowledge of and exposure to OTC products is desirable.
Shift Timing: 2 PM IST to 11 PM IST.
