The ESR Data Analyst / Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting RMIT’s participation in the UniForum benchmarking program. This role involves the collection, validation, and transformation of workforce and operational data, ensuring its accuracy for submission into the UniForum system. The position also requires some project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and reporting to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across the university.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Management, analysis and co-ordination
Collect, process, and validate raw data from Workday and other relevant systems as required system.
Clean, standardise, and categorise data in alignment with UniForum classification standards.
Identify and resolve inconsistencies, gaps, and anomalies to ensure data accuracy.
Prepare and format datasets for submission, ensuring compliance with UniForum requirements.
Analyse benchmarking results to provide insights on operational efficiency and resourcing.
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables for UniForum data submissions.
Liaise and support key stakeholders across colleges, portfolios, central services, and leadership teams to ensure smooth data collection and validation.
Organise meetings, workshops, and training sessions to communicate data requirements and findings.
Act as a key point of contact for UniForum-related queries and support.
3. Reporting & Insights
Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate UniForum insights using tools such as Excel and Power Point.
Summarise key trends and benchmarking results to support strategic decision-making.
Provide recommendations based on data findings to improve operational efficiency.
4. Process Improvement & Automation
Identify opportunities to streamline data collection, validation, and submission processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance data quality and usability.
Key Selection Criteria
Experience in data analysis, data management, or business intelligence.
Strong skills in data processing, validation, and transformation, with experience handling large datasets.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
Project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to interpret and communicate data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children Check and other checks as required by the specific role. Maintaining a valid Working With Children Check is a condition of employment at RMIT.
