Role Overview
As a Data and ML Lead, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end data and machine learning initiatives—from data strategy and architecture to model development, deployment, and lifecycle management. You’ll guide a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, ML engineers, and data engineers while working closely with product and business stakeholders to turn complex data into valuable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Leadership & Strategy
• Define and own the ML and data strategy aligned with Solulever’s platform vision and product roadmap.
• Mentor and lead a team of data scientists and ML engineers.
• Drive innovation by staying ahead of trends in AI, GenAI, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and MLOps.
• ML Architecture & Development
• Design and oversee scalable and reusable ML architectures using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.
• Lead the development of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning models.
• Collaborate on building Generative AI applications leveraging LLMs, embedding models, and transformer architectures.
• End-to-End ML Lifecycle Management
• Manage model training, validation, A/B testing, monitoring, and automated retraining pipelines.
• Implement robust ML Ops pipelines using tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Ensure reproducibility, versioning, and traceability of experiments and models.
• Data Infrastructure & Engineering
• Oversee data ingestion and feature engineering pipelines using Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, etc.
• Collaborate with data engineers to design and optimize data lakes, warehouses, and feature stores.
• Analytics & Decision Intelligence
• Define and monitor product-level KPIs and model performance metrics.
• Work with Product, UX, and Engineering to translate insights into product features and business outcomes.
• Cross-functional Collaboration
• Act as the primary point of contact for all AI/ML initiatives within Solulever and for key stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment between data/ML teams and product, engineering, DevOps, and business teams.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in data science and machine learning, with 2+ years in a lead or principal role.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, and ML/AI libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, etc.).
• Proven experience building and deploying models in production environments.
• Familiarity with ML Ops workflows and tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, DVC, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with big data technologies like Spark, Kafka, Airflow, and data lake/data warehouse platforms.
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills.

• Experience with GenAI, LLMs, embedding models, vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Weaviate, Pinecone).
• Knowledge of industrial domains (manufacturing, supply chain, IoT) is a strong plus.
• Understanding of data governance, lineage, and privacy in AI systems.
• Published research or open-source contributions in AI/ML space.
