Job Description
KEPTO Fintech is expanding its on-premise infrastructure and is looking for a Datacenter Engineer to manage, operate, and scale our physical and virtual infrastructure. This is a full-time, hands-on role focused on servers, networking, virtualization, and datacenter operations supporting our fintech platforms.
About the Role
The Datacenter Engineer will be responsible for managing rack servers, networking equipment, and virtualization platforms that power KEPTO’s internal systems and fintech services. The role requires strong practical experience with hardware, Linux systems, Proxmox, and network configuration in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and maintain rack-mounted servers and datacenter hardware
• Manage and troubleshoot enterprise networking (switches, firewalls, VLANs, IP routing)
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Proxmox VE clusters
• Manage virtual machines, storage pools, backups, and snapshots
• Monitor server health, performance, and uptime
• Perform hardware diagnostics, replacements, and upgrades
• Ensure proper cabling, labeling, and rack organization
• Implement security best practices at infrastructure and network level
• Assist DevOps and backend teams with infrastructure requirements
• Maintain documentation for network topology and server inventory
Requirements
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in datacenter or infrastructure roles
• Strong knowledge of Linux server administration
• Experience with Proxmox VE or similar virtualization platforms
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, firewalls)
• Experience working with rack servers, switches, and storage systems
• Basic understanding of backups, RAID, and storage concepts
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and network issues independently
• Experience with Docker or containers is a plus
• Hosting, ISP, or on-prem infrastructure experience preferred
Salary & Benefits
• Salary: ₹10,000 – ₹15,000 per month (based on skills and experience)
