Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle UIM SME/Architect with a strong background in telecom consulting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing and implementing Oracle Unified Inventory Management (UIM) solutions, leveraging their expertise in the OSS domain. This position is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in Oracle UIM, possessing a mix of technical and soft skills, and a strong background in the telecommunications industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop high-quality UIM-oriented solutions independently.
2. Lead the design and development of Oracle UIM and related tools/technologies for telecom clients.
3. Convert business inventory requirements into technical design documents.
4. Develop UIM cartridges using Oracle Design Studio and implement logical/physical inventory models.
5. Create rulesets, extension points, and customizations within UIM cartridges.
6. Migrate data from external inventory systems to UIM through scripts and rulesets.
7. Extend existing UIM Tech Packs (e.g., GSM Mobile Tech Pack, Metro Ethernet Services) to meet customer needs.
8. Develop web-service cartridges to automate UIM interface integration.
+. Work with UIM in federation/cooperation mode and handle standalone or high-availability (HA) cluster installations.
10. Collaborate effectively with team members and clients, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related fields (BE/BTech/MCA/MTech).
• Experience: 4-6 years in relevant roles, including 3-4 years in telecom consulting.
• OSS Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of Wireless, Cable, DSL, VoIP, POTS, and IPTV.
• Technical Knowledge:
o Proficiency in JAVA, J2EE, SOAP, HTTP, TCP/IP, and related protocols.
o Familiarity with tools and technologies such as XML, XSLT, XQUERY, Drools, and Oracle RDBMS.
o Experience with WebLogic Administration, PLSQL programming, and integration technologies (e.g., JMS, SSL).
o Knowledge of TMF/eTOM, SID Data Model, and RSDOD.
• Technical Skills in UIM:
o Experience with UIM Inventory Managers (e.g., Telephone Number Manager, Equipment Manager).
o Capability to model inventory in UIM cartridges and extend tech packs.
o Competence in web-service development and high-level architectural design.
Soft Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Effective articulation of ideas in written and oral formats.
Desirable Skills:
• Familiarity with the Conceptual Model, Reference Implementation, and RSDOD/SR2B implementation.
• Experience with CORBA, RMI, LDAP, TELNET, SNMP, and other networking protocols.
• WebLogic Bridging and SAF configurations knowledge is an added advantage.
