We have an immediate opening for a Data Privacy Associate with a minimum of three years of experience. We will consider candidates for any of our physical office locations. This an excellent opportunity to join a growing and dynamic data privacy practice.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience working either at a law firm or as in-house counsel advising clients with data privacy laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Experience drafting online privacy policies, data processing agreements, transfer impact assessments, and DPIAs is preferred. Knowledge and experience working with ad tech compliance issues also is preferred. A CIPPUS or CIPM certifcation is strongly preferred.
The candidate must have an excellent academic record, superb writing and negotiating skills, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with a team, superior judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action. Candidates should have an active bar license in the state corresponding with the office to which they are applying or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible.
Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for this position in Chicago, Denver, Oakland, Los Angeles and Washington, DC only is $210,000 to $250,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salaries in all other markets will vary depending on market data. Associates are eligible for an Associate Performance Bonus and Client Development Bonus. In addition, employees receive a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, and vision.
