Details:
• Provide L3+ support for core database administration focused on Oracle database with working knowledge of SQL database.
• Lead a team of L2 and L3 DBA"s.
• Responsible for delivering the DBA services to the customer.
• Interacting with client over calls and provide details and reasoning of the deliverables.
• Should groom the junior resources of the team to enhance their skills.
• Should be able to lead the customer call and provide design level support to the client.
• Manage SQL Server and Oracle databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
• Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
• Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members. Job Requirements Details:
• Primary - Oracle DBA - 10g, 11g, 12c and newer versions.
• MSSQL DBA - MSSQL, SSIS, SSRS, with 4 to 6 Years" experience.
• Provide DBA support in all aspects of database administration such as installation, configuration and migration.
• Detailed knowledge of MSSQL and Oracle Replication Server.
• Day-to-day production operations (incident break/ fix, change, service requests, vulnerability management).
• Provide replication support for building warm standby and MSA types of replication.
• Be able to independently plan and execute large database migration activities.
• Database installation and version upgrade.
• Handling databases backup, DBCC, restoration, update statistic, rebuild and reorg.
• Analyzing and monitor system performance using DBCC, traceon commands, query plan output, system procedures like sp_sysmon and other performance monitoring tools.
• Strong Performance and Tuning capabilities and root cause analysis reporting.
• Troubleshooting problems real-time issues.
• Knowledge and experience with enterprise wide disaster recovery activities and High Availability.
• Good understanding of UNIX platform with ability to develop maintain UNIX shell scripts.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good communication skills for providing documentation to support personnel, customers, and managers.
• Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action
