📝 Rquirements:
We are seeking a candidate with proven working experience as a Database Administrator. You should possess a relevant degree and/or DPA-related certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Database Administrator). Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications is essential, along with excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Azure, familiarity with NoSQL databases, and knowledge of automation tools are also key qualifications. Please note that the successful candidate will need to complete a basic DBS application.
👩💻👨💻 Your responsibilities are:
As a Database Administrator (DBA) with us, you will be responsible for designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining our database systems. You will monitor and optimize the performance of the databases, including SQL tuning, and implement and maintain database security policies and procedures to ensure the safety of our data. Developing, implementing, and testing backup and recovery plans will be part of your role, as well as ensuring the integrity of the database to guarantee that data remains accurate and consistent. You will identify and resolve database issues to minimize downtime and provide support to users with database-related technical issues. Additionally, you will create and maintain documentation while ensuring databases meet compliance standards, including GDPR, HIPAA, etc. Collaboration with the Corporate Programme Office, IT project managers, developers, and other team members will be crucial to meet our goals. Other reasonable duties may also be assigned as needed.
