At Geico Auto Insurance, we are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our IT team and help ensure our data systems are efficient and secure. We’re looking for a self-motivated professional who can work independently and has excellent problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of database design and development, the ability to configure and manage databases, and experience optimizing database performance. If you have a passion for data and are looking for an opportunity to make an impact in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field• 5+ years of experience in database administration• Expertise in database design, development, optimization, and maintenance• Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, and other scripting languages• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other database technologies• Ability to maintain data integrity and security• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance and security
• Configure and manage databases using SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, and other scripting languages
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
• Ensure data integrity and security of databases
• Work with the IT team to develop and implement strategies for database optimization
• Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to databases
• Research and recommend new database technologies
• Develop and implement database policies and procedures
• Maintain documentation of database structure and usage
