Job Description
Required Skills:
- Must have overall 6 years IT experience with at least 3 plus years post MCDBA (Microsoft Certified DBA) or latest Oracle / Microsoft certification(i.e. SQL Server)for Database Configuration and Administration
- Should have at least 2 years’ experience at MS SQL/Oracle database administration
- Possessing professional certifications like MCSE/MCSE+I/ MCSD/OCDBA etc. will be plus and have an added advantage
- Good to have proficiency and knowledge in .NET, VB, ASP, XML, SQL server
- Shall be responsible to develop, implement and ensure data availability solutions, which include the backup, and restore policy, clustering, standby server, etc.
- Shall work closely with development teams to assist in overall database design, such as creating normalized databases, helping developers tune queries, etc. so as to optimize the application performance and resource utilization
- Shall be responsible for writing scripts to automate the DBA procedures, backups, system checks and job termination.
- Shall develop and implement replication strategies, server capacity plan and security.
- Shall be responsible for database recovery.
- Shall audit server and database activity
