The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and scalability of internal services that impact the business.
Responsibilities:
• Provision and Manage Database instances and plan for replication setups, HA, Backups, and DR
• Resolve Database related issues and perform RCA
• Capacity planning to support periodic or campaigns-related scale
• Identify Automation needs and close Security and Process gaps
• Work closely with development teams to ensure that solutions are designed with customer user experience, scale/performance, and operability in mind
• Guide developers in choosing the right database, based on the application use-case
• Support our continuously growing micro-service-based cloud environment
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience in RDS/MySQL/PostgreSQL (mandatory) and NoSQL Experience(good to have)
• Experienced in Database Administration, design, development, maintenance, and production support of relational databases, business applications
• Strong in MySql and also in general system administration skills in Linux
• Experienced in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Client/Server Connectivity, and Database Consistency Checks using different Utilities
• Familiar with AWS RDS, AWS Backup, Replication, and snapshot,
• Good knowledge of Linux System Admin and Bash Scripting
• Good team player with strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills
