You will work with a team of talented, diverse software engineers who are versed in delivering exceptional end-user experiences, and world-class services to end users, ITPros, partners, and operations teams. As a database administrator, you will be expected to:
Manage and support Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MongoDB database systems
Manage and install external database plugins like timescale
Deliver database and infrastructure changes
Follow best ITIL-based practices and standards
Have the ability to grow vertically and show case the good potential of learners and to gain more expertise in the DB area
Experience with installation, configuration, administration, and monitoring of Oracle / SQL Server / PostgreSQL / MySQL / MongoDB database
Competency in Oracle RAC technology for HA/ DR methodologies and planning for Oracle DBAs
Expert in performance tuning and optimization techniques
Expertise with patching, security patches and Hotfixes
Proficiency in database backup and recovery methodologies
Experience with Shell scripting with a focus on automation of repetitive tasks
Diagnosing the database issues and taking corrective actions to ensure database availability
Database capacity planning, upgrades and database migration
Proficiency in database security and audit requirements
Proficiency in Business continuity strategy and exercise
Strong knowledge in project and resource planning; estimate project costs and timelines
