Position : Database Administrator (DBA)
Experience : 2 - 3 Years of experience
Education : B. Tech / MCA/ M. Tech
Job Location : Jodhpur, Rajasthan (onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for documentation, testing and debugging of small to large DB management.
Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, and using SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Scheduling backups and restoring from backups
SQL administration and troubleshoot SQL code and design (stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes and constraints)
Create technical design recommendations for developing and integrating programs per written specifications.
Troubleshoot and solve issues with production systems.
Analyze, create and implement database schemas and queries.
Ability to write efficient, complex queries against very large data sets, model, analyze and manage large volumes of data.
Documentation skills for SQL processes and procedures
Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.
Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
Profile server resource usage and optimize and tweak as necessary
Perform monitoring to ensure data reliability of all enterprise databases.
Perform system upgrades as required for smooth operations of the databases.
Modify and maintain existing applications based on the needs of the business
Ensure that the database is properly indexed and optimized for maximum performance
Collaborate with application developers to understand database requirements and design optimal solutions
Requirements:
At least 2 years of relevant experience in MSSQL administration, with experience in designing and maintaining complex MSSQL databases
Must have experience as a DBA and postgre and MySQL
Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
Advanced knowledge of T-SQL programming and optimization techniques
Strong knowledge of MSSQL Server Management Studio, SQL Profiler, and other database-related tools
Experience with database design patterns, normalization, and indexing strategies
Ability to analyse and troubleshoot complex database issues
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Soft Skills:
Team work and collaboration with internal / external teams
Effective communication skills (listening, expressing, writing)
Need a person who is a very good team player, good at analyzing, problem-solving Debugging skills, and Technical Support.
Critical thinking, attention to detail (keen eye for identifying and resolving defects)
Creativity and problem solving.
Collaborate within and cross teams.
Participate effectively on other development activities like code reviews, automation, unit testing etc.
Salary range upto 4lacs-5 lacs
