Full Job Description
Job Summary:

Our company is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in core DBA activities, including database installation, configuration, backup and recovery, security, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. The candidate will work closely with the development team to ensure that all database requirements are met and that the databases are highly available and performing optimally.

Responsibilities:

· Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases in production, test, and development environments.

· Manage database security and access control to ensure that only authorized users have access to the database.

· Upgrading grid environment higher versions in oda servers.

· Supporting core banking application deployments in jbosseap application servers.

· Highlighting the bottle neck quires to development team.

· Monitoring the sync between standby database and primary databases.

· Configured always on for sql server production servers.

· Configured shell scripting on the database server for operation team to take daily backups without login as database owner.

· Managing Postgres Database, MySQL databases

· Develop and implement database backup and recovery procedures to minimize downtime and data loss.

· Monitor and tune database performance to ensure that the databases are highly available and performing optimally.

· Work closely with developers to optimize database schema and queries for optimal performance.

· Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance problems, database errors, and connectivity issues.

· Develop and implement database maintenance procedures, including index rebuilds, database statistics updates, and database defragmentation.

· Plan and implement database upgrades and patches to ensure that the databases are up to date and secure.

· Collaborate with IT operations and infrastructure teams to ensure that the database environment is highly available and reliable.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle database administration.

· Experience with Oracle database installation, configuration, backup and recovery, security, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

· Knowledge of Oracle database internals, including memory management, process management, and data structures.

· Experience with Oracle RAC and Data Guard.

· Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other database monitoring and management tools.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work well in a team environment.

Salary: ₹585,+62.00 - ₹2,532,202.48 per year
