Role : SQL Database AdminExp : 3 - 7 YearNP : 15 DaysHappiest MindsPermanentBangaloreJob Description : - Monitor SQL Server- Owning, tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests, fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs- Participate in development, testing, and maintenance of application enhancements- Monitor test results, and make appropriate recommendations- Assist in overall system application documentation- Responsible for continuing maintenance on assigned production systems- Collaborate with other IT departments to ensure successful deployment and support of applications- Follow departmental standards and guideline- Research and recommend optimal database design criteria- Create, develop, review and support the physical model and logical model- Performs independently in routine situations Qualifications for SQL database administrator : - Experienced in Microsoft SQL Server administration, preferably SQL Server 2008 R2- Experienced in the use of Microsoft SQL Server Transact-SQL- Applied Best Security Policies, access control and policy based management aligned with SOX including setting up SQL server in DMZ environment- Updated codes for web (IIS) application- Automated routine tasks through PowerShell scripts, SQL jobs and Task Scheduler- Knowledge of other database technologies (Oracle, Sybase, DB2...)- Create, develop, and review the physical model created from the logical model, ensuring that the detailed physical design of data structures and databases complies with standards, guidelines and procedures recommended for all aspects of data modeling, database design, and maintenance (ref: hirist.com
