Job Description Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and make room for emergencies, as needed.
Ensure database optimization, integrity, consistency, security and privacy.
Providing support, guidance and collaborating with Application Developers to implement database design, and review developers work to ensure correct implementation.
Assist with schema design, code review and MySQL/Mongodb query tuning. Participate in code reviews, write and deploy patches, and gain a deeper understanding of replica & clustering.
Report database usage issues and malfunctions. Prepare documentation and specifications for all deployed queries/routines/processes.
Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems and perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
Required Skills Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
2 to 3 years experience in MySQL and Mongo DB Administration.
MySQL and Mongo administration experience including knowing the basics of running MySQL/Mongo Server users, permission, backups, recovery, monitoring.
Create, Optimize and Maintain queries and DB procedures, as well as data extracts.
Install & Configure new Mysql/Mongo and manage databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Basic knowledge of linux OS and basic linux commands.
Perform technical troubleshooting to diagnose, isolate and correct data and database issues
