Summary of Role

Role: Architect (Database Engineering)

Position/Role Description :

The candidate will be part of a team managing databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis etc.) and will be involved in Architecting, Optimising, Designing and refactoring of databases for the long term Business Goals.

Job Responsibilities:
• Ownership of DB design for different business and Technical requirements
• Deployment and Management of required database assets in production.
• Management of High scale MySQL and MongoDB Clusters.
• DB architectural design, optimisation, performance tuning and Consultation.
• Implementation of Observability tools with Database.
• Implementation of Automation for Database operations.
• Design discussion and consultation with Development & QA team.
• Thorough understanding of MySQL logs, configs, backups, DR etc.
• Deep involvement related to any DB related issues (outages. troubleshooting, upgradation etc.)

Job Requirements:
• BE/B.Tech or equivalent from a reputed institute
• Experience in MySQL is a must, Self-Hosted/Managed solutions.
• Experience in Shell/Python/SQL scripting.
• Experience in AWS native services and Automation.
• Working knowledge of Linux, System hardware etc.
• Experience with MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis or other distributed Database is a plus
• Experience with Database Observability tools(Percona/Datadog etc).
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
