Department Description
The global cybersecurity & Information security (GCIS) department is a part of the Global Technology department. The Technology function provides IT services to the Fidelity International business, globally. These include the development and support of business applications that underpin our revenue, operational, compliance, finance, legal, and marketing and customer service functions. The broader organisation incorporates Infrastructure services that the firm relies on to operate on a day-to-day basis including data centre, networks, proximity services, security, voice, incident management and remediation.
Global cybersecurity & Information security (GCIS) is responsible for:
• Cyber Security: Protecting the Technology Environment from internal and external security threats,
• Application Security (through secure coding practices, penetration testing, and developer training)
• Centralised Access Management – working to principles of least privilege, access appropriate to role, and Role Based Access Control Security Assurance & Compliance
• Vulnerability Management
• Security Engineering and Architecture
• Security Application Support
• Cyber Defence Operations
• Information Security Risk Management
Purpose of your role
The position is part of Global Cyber and Information Security (GCIS) team. Fundamental purpose of this role is use of ‘data’ to drive ‘actionable insight’. The role is responsible for data analysis and visualization into Business / Functional insight and Compliance Monitoring. This role is around performing data analysis visualization, Trend analysis, forecasting and reporting on Data Warehouse.
Candidate must have strong knowledge and understanding on data warehousing and business intelligence concepts. In-depth exposure of Advance SQL, various data sources, Data Mining and finding insights from data. Hands-on experience on Power BI, SQL and Advance Excel is required.
This role is responsible for development & maintenance of Data pipelines, data warehouse and reporting. This role engages across all engineering & support teams with the ability to communicate with senior level employees as well as technical product & service owners and be able to work across all levels. Understanding business requirement from different stakeholders, discuss solution approach and team members and implement the design. This role demands person must be a good collaborator.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver - efficiently:
• Data Preparation & Migration (Python, ETL, SQL, Adv. Excel)
• Data Analysis and Visualization (Power BI, Python, Adv. Excel)
• Apply Data Warehousing/ETL concepts in development.
• Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers to support development.
• Develop database tables and dictionaries.
• Ensure data quality and integrity in databases.
• Data read/write using API.
• Create and maintain high quality dashboards.
• Manage Power BI workspace and perform dashboard health checks.
• Keep documentation up to date.
• Understand the requirement and develop solution options.
• Engage - productively:
• Engage with Team and share the Success and letdowns.
• Highlight blockers proactively.
Experience And Qualifications Required
Must Have:
• Graduate from reputed institute with 3-5 years of experience and progressive working knowledge of Data analysis, ETL techniques, Data Warehouse and BI technologies
• In-depth knowledge of TSQL, able to create complex SQL queries to summarize huge datasets.
• Sound knowledge on any programming language to handle database loading/unloading related tasks.
• Familiarity in Data Warehouse and ODS concepts
• Experience of working as a data analyst preferably within Technology/IT Security
• Extensive Data Analysis and BI experience in developing dashboard and reporting.
• Design and implement complex data models.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform would be a plus.
• SSIS or any ETL tool experience on Development/Deployment
• Excellent communication skills
Good to have:
• Azure/AWS working knowledge and have worked in at least 1 client project with Snowflake as Database (SnowPro Certified Preferred)
• Migration Exp of MS SQL to Azure/Snowflake (DB and ETL)
• any DevOps Tool like Jenkin, BitBucket/Git
• Working knowledge and experience on any release Tool and JIRA
• Knowledge and experience in Data analysis using Python.
• Data onboarding using Rest API
• Self-learning, self-exploring problem-solving attitude.
Domain Knowledge:
• Knowledge of Investment Banking and Cyber Security Domain is added advantage.
