Sr. Database Operation Engineer (DBA)
Responsibilities
• Installation, maintenance and monitoring of production database infrastructure
• Expertise in AWS Aurora DB, DynamoDB and ElasticSearch or related technologies
• Expertise in MySQL and mysql replication related technologies
• Beginner level experience with Mongodb
• Working with Engineering teams for design review, security review and performance tuning
• Participation in staging and production deployments, troubleshooting and capacity monitoring
• Participation in on-call rotation for support of Zoom Phone services
• Documenting and maintaining installation procedures, issue resolutions, environment configurations, and disaster recovery procedures
• Familiarity with change policy, incident response and ticketing system
Requirements
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong knowledge of AWS Aurora DB, DynamoDB and ElasticSearch
• Strong knowledge of MySQL, including architecture, maintenance, monitoring
• Familiar with MongoDB, Redis in production deployment and troubleshooting
• Understanding of Linux or other Unix-like Operation systems
• Scripting and automation of routine database related tasks using Shell, SQL
• Excellent communication skills
• BS degree in a related field, MS preferred
