Main Responsibilities:
• Develop, test, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views in Oracle and SQL Server.
• Data Analysis and Retrieval: Read from and write to database tables for business logic processing and reporting.
• Database Design and Optimization: Design and optimize joins, subqueries, and complex data retrieval logic.
• Database Maintenance: Analyze existing database structures and recommend optimizations.
• Data Quality and Integrity: Support data quality and integrity across systems.
• Scheduled Jobs and Data Pipelines: Create and maintain scheduled jobs, ETL processes, or data pipelines.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot database issues and performance bottlenecks.
Required Skills:
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and T-SQL (SQL Server).
• Knowledge Areas: Strong knowledge of joins, subqueries, and data manipulation.
• Database Objects: Ability to understand and work with stored procedures, functions, triggers, and scheduled jobs.
• Database Models: Experience in reading and interpreting relational database models.
• Indexing and Normalization: Understanding of indexes, constraints, and basic normalization.
• Data Profiling and Modeling: Familiarity with data profiling and basic data modeling concepts.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• ETL Tools and Migration: Knowledge of data migration, ETL tools, or SSIS/Oracle Data Integrator.
• Cloud Databases: Familiarity with cloud databases (e.g., Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud).
• Reporting Tools: Experience with reporting tools or writing queries for dashboards.
